The world is being swallowed by a great flood, even as it teems with the last vestiges of a human presence. Cat is a solitary animal, but as his home is devastated by a great flood, he finds refuge on a boat populated by various species. He will have to team up with them despite their differences. In the lonesome boat sailing through mystical, overflowed landscapes, they navigate the challenges and dangers of adapting to this new, watery world.

Flow premiered in Un Certain Regard at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. It marks the second feature by Gints Zalbadolis following his standout debut Away. It was selected as the Latvian entry for Best International Feature Film at the 97th Academy Awards. It's a film that reaches all ages with a unique and empathetic mysticism, but is a must-see for cat people.

"It’s not just a supreme example of a movie kids will love that adults will too. With its wordlessness, this is a film that could play in any country of the world, its capacity to reach literally everyone limitless." -Christian Blauvelt, IndieWire

"With the story of a cat who loses everything only to find something even more valuable, Gints Zibalodis’s Flow achieves the impossible: making us live in the moment." -Serena Seghedoni, Loud and Clear
