Featuring all 8 songs from idialedyournumber’s breakthrough album Hourglass, the film follows a young girl (played by idialedyournumber’s Jessie Everill) that falls in love with a green creature after washing up on a Halifax beach. Shot entirely on 8mm video by writer-director Malcolm MacMaster, combining music videos with scripted narrative, Hourglass: The Visual Album is a lo-fi, campy, love-filled celebration of Halifax’s rising ‘pier emo’ scene.

World premiere screening. There will be a Q&A and an acoustic performance by idialedyournumber to follow the film.

idialedyournumber is an emo-inspired solo project written, recorded, and produced by Jessie Everill.

Malcolm MacMaster is a Halifax-based filmmaker from Cape Breton Island, known for his work shooting music videos for artists such as Porter Robinson, June Body, and idialedyournumber.

The film contains coarse language, violence, and ashing images which may affect viewers with photosensitivity.
