After living in harmony with nature for two decades in the wilderness of the Bucharest Delta, the Enache family is forced to move to the city when the area is turned into a national park. Leaving behind their unconventional life of sleeping in a hut on the lakeshore and following the rhythm of the seasons, the family struggles to conform to modern civilization and maintain their connection to each other and themselves and begin to question their place in the world and what their future might be.
Similar in feel to 2019's Honeyland, filmmaker Radu Ciorniciuc's empathetic and cinematic eye offers viewers a compelling tale of an impoverished family living on the fringes of society in Romania, fighting for acceptance and their own version of freedom.
